10 Week Checkup

Nolan had his 10 week check-up on Monday. He checked in at 11 lbs 1 oz putting him in the 22nd percentile for weight and 23 1/2 inches long putting him in the 58th percentile for height. So he is still our tall, skinny little man. He had to get one shot as well, which is the worst thing to watch. The needle is so long and they stick it in his tiny little thigh. But he cries for about 5 minutes and then falls asleep. And one picture from the morning before we headed to the doctor.

Father's Day 2011

This year was Ryan's first Father's Day so I told him it was up to him to figure out what he wanted to do for the day. Being the low-key guy that he is, he opted to head down into the city to go to the dog park with Nathan and then buy lunch at Lenny's and have a picnic in the park. So that is what we did. It was a gorgeous day out and we had a nice day walking around the city. Nathan enjoyed running around the dog park, until he kept getting humped by the same dog, so we left. We got some sandwiches and headed to Central Park where we set up our little picnic and people watched.
I always knew Ryan would be a great father, but I dont think I realized how great he would be. I have seen him with kids before, but most of them were older and could talk to him and throw the baseball with him. Babies are different. He never wanted to hold anyone's baby and, to be honest, they arent that exciting in the beginning. But Ryan has been amazing- he changes diapers, gives him bottles, walks around talking to him. He loves walking around showing him off to everyone, and it makes me love him even more watching him as a father.

Month Two

Nolan's second month was definitely a lot more fun and got a lot better. He now smiles when he sees Ryan or I, and is learning to sleep more. Excited to see what the next month brings us!
