WOW! That is one way to sum up this first month. This was definitely the hardest 4 weeks of our lives. Between no sleep and trying to figure out what the heck we were doing, I dont know how we made it to the end of this month. We love our little guy so much but this is no easy job! He needs to eat about every 2 hours which means not a lot of sleep is happening here. And breastfeeding is no easy task either. After a few days of it, I wanted to quit and never have to deal with that ever again. I just tried to take it day by day and it gets a little bit easier with each passing week, but I think I cried every time it was time to feed him. The hardest part is he needs you for every little thing, but there is no reaction from him that you are doing a good job or that he is happy. I guess the fact that he is still alive and healthy means we are doing what we need to be doing at this point. Looking forward to seeing his first smile in reaction to us and not just the farts and poops he is having.
